I'm Seran Shanmugathas. I live in Oslo, where I build data-driven solutions for investment decisions.

I am a Data Scientist at FSN Capital Partners, where I source and integrate alternative datasets to evaluate opportunities and model return distributions for improved risk assessment and forecasting.

I hold a Master's degree in Computer Science from NTNU, graduating in June 2025. During my studies, I spent an exchange year at Sapienza Università di Roma, specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

With a strong foundation in Python, Java, and TypeScript, I have delivered scalable, tech-forward solutions for startups and established companies alike. My work spans anomaly detection, smart EV charging applications, and machine learning-driven optimization systems.

Previously, I co-founded Vext Consulting, where my team and I helped early-stage startups leverage technology to accelerate growth. I also served as Partner at Junior Consulting, Norway's largest student-run consulting company, leading strategic initiatives and overseeing cross-functional teams.

Outside of work, I'm continuously learning and applying new technologies, currently exploring cloud platforms like AWS and AI/ML tools like PyTorch and Hugging Face.
